Compliance Check Against
New Regulations

When a requirement changes, the slow part is not understanding it — it is finding every place in your own policies and contracts that touches it. The system does that and cites the paragraph. What your documents do not say is reported as a gap, and the assessment stays with your compliance officer.

Your Challenges, Solved

THE PROBLEM

A requirement changes and nobody knows which of our documents it touches

ARGUS SOLUTION

We do not run a regulatory feed — your compliance team knows what changed. What the system does is find every place in your own policies, procedures and contracts that addresses it, with the paragraph, so the mapping takes hours instead of a reading marathon.

THE PROBLEM

Audit preparation turns into a document hunt across departments

ARGUS SOLUTION

Questions of the form «where do we document this» are answered from your own material, each answer carrying document and paragraph. Where the material is silent, that is reported as a gap — which is the finding an auditor would produce anyway, arriving earlier.

THE PROBLEM

Credit files and collateral documentation are read one by one

ARGUS SOLUTION

Terms, covenants, deadlines and securities are extracted into a comparable structure, each value linked to its clause. The assessment stays with the analyst; what disappears is the transcription.

THE PROBLEM

Sensitive documents cannot leave the institution's network

ARGUS SOLUTION

Inference runs on our own hardware in the EEA, and where that is not acceptable, on-premise inside your perimeter. Either way your documents are not passed to a US provider and are not used to train models.

Financial Services Use Cases

From regulatory compliance to risk management — ARGUS transforms how financial institutions work.

Mapping requirements to your own documents

Given a requirement your compliance team is working on, the system shows where your policies and procedures address it and where they do not. It does not interpret the regulation — it finds and cites your side of the question.

Credit and collateral documentation

Covenants, deadlines, securities and termination rights extracted into a comparable structure, each value linked to the clause it came from. Verifying one takes seconds; the analyst's judgement is untouched.

Search across your own files

Answers from your policies, contracts and correspondence, with the paragraph. Your material only: we do not query sanctions lists, PEP databases or registries, because those need licensed sources we do not have.

Evidence for an audit

Supporting documentation located and cited, gaps reported as gaps. Whether the evidence satisfies a supervisor is a judgement your compliance officer makes and signs.

EXAMPLE CALCULATION · NOT A CUSTOMER REPORT

Where the time in audit preparation actually goes

Take an institution with a few hundred internal policies and procedures. For each requirement under review somebody establishes where it is documented, pulls the passage and records the reference. At ten to fifteen minutes per requirement, a few hundred requirements is several weeks of work — and most of it is locating, not deciding.

That is the part the system takes over: it returns the passage with its reference, and says so when nothing in the material answers. What it does not compress is the assessment, the remediation and the sign-off. The real numbers for your house get measured in the pilot on your own documents — these are arithmetic, not a result.

What it does not do

Four limits, named here rather than discovered during an implementation. In a regulated institution this section decides more than a feature list does.

No sanctions, PEP or beneficial-ownership screening. That needs licensed data sources we do not hold, and a screening tool that guesses is worse than none.
No regulatory monitoring. We do not run a feed from BaFin, the ECB or ESMA; your compliance team knows what changed, and the system finds where your own documents address it.
No statement of compliance. Evidence can be assembled and gaps shown; whether that satisfies a supervisor is a judgement your compliance officer makes and signs.
No automated decisions with legal consequence for a person. Credit and eligibility cases are assembled for review — an accountable signature is not a confidence score.

FAQ

Do you screen for sanctions, PEP status or beneficial ownership?+

No. That requires licensed data sources — sanctions lists, PEP databases, registry feeds — which we do not hold, and a screening tool that guesses is worse than none. We work on your own documents: what is in a credit file, a policy or a contract, and where it says so.

Do you monitor regulatory changes from BaFin, the ECB or ESMA?+

No. We do not run a regulatory feed and will not claim one. What we do is the other half of that work: when your compliance team knows a requirement has changed, the system finds every place in your own policies and contracts that touches it, with the paragraph.

Can it tell us whether we are compliant?+

It can assemble the evidence and show where your documents are silent. Whether that satisfies a supervisor is a judgement your compliance officer makes and signs. A system that declares compliance would be telling you what you want to hear about a question it cannot settle.

What does it actually do for audit preparation?+

It answers questions of the form «where do we document this» from your own policies, procedures and contracts, each answer carrying document and paragraph. The slow part of an audit is finding and citing; that part compresses. Judgement and sign-off do not.

Can it run inside our own perimeter?+

Yes. By default inference runs on our hardware in the EEA; for institutions that cannot let documents leave their network, an on-premise deployment is possible. That decision belongs at the start of the project, because it changes the infrastructure work rather than a setting.

What happens with data we process?+

It is not used to train models, the processing locations are disclosed, and a data processing agreement is part of the contract. For a regulated institution this is usually the first question, which is why the answer is verifiable rather than reassuring.

How do you handle credit or eligibility decisions?+

We do not automate them. A decision with legal consequence for a person needs an accountable signature, not a confidence score: the system assembles the file and shows what it rests on, and a person decides. This is also what the EU AI Act expects of such systems.

What does it cost and how fast can it start?+

Discovery with a document audit starts at €5,000 and ends with the measured share of questions your own material can answer. An implementation project on existing infrastructure starts at €25,000. A test on a handful of documents takes a day and needs no access to your systems.
